Coming changes
Samoa currently drive on the Right hand side of the road. But with the impending switch ( September 2009) there are majority Left hand drive vehicles with few Right hand drive vehicles in the country so far. Due to this you will often find people driving slow as they cannot see the road ahead. Be patient, remember you are on holiday and in no rush.
Ferry Travel to Savaii
We highly recommend advanced bookings for ferry travel to the big Island of Savaii if you are taking a rental car with you. It's the only way the local people use to get to and from the big island and as such it's very full. Confirm with us your travel itinerary and we can make advanced booking on your behalf.
Time in Samoa
Samoa is located on the other side of the date line. For example if you are in New Zealand or Australia and it is your Monday it is our Sunday. Normal time differences. New Zealand is 1 hour behind Samoa time Australia (Sydney) is 3 hours behind Samoa time.
